Jiva.ai is delighted to announce that the Board has appointed Dr Manish Patel as CEO. Former CTO, and co-founder Manish assumed his new position from June 2020.

As Jiva.ai grows and moves into this new and exciting next stage, Manish will be responsible for the overall success of the company, overseeing and leading the development and execution of long term corporate strategy.

Dr Manish Patel – former CTO of Jiva.ai – is the technical architect and creator of the core technology that underpins the Jiva platform. Although a self-professed “geek”, Manish hasn’t always been on the computational end of business. Having read Molecular Genetics at King College London (2001) Manish went on to a Masters in Bioinformatics at Birkbeck College. With this firm life sciences basis, and a growing understanding of computational biology, he then went into short term roles in bioinformatics research at the department of Biochemistry at University College London before deciding to take the plunge into a PhD in mathematical and computational modelling of cancer.

Post-PhD, Manish went on to hold technical roles at banks and hedge funds, specifically gaining proficiency in high frequency, low latency systems within algorithmic trading platforms.

Manish is a serial CTO-er, and has helped drive and advise on tech at a number of startups including Epicuri, Cupris and ZavFit before founding and building the technology at Jiva.

Now transitioning to the CEO role, he will be responsible for not only supervising the delivery of the product and team, but also for ensuring success in the long term.
